Cylinder head and camshafts
The Touch Smart Board | Factory - ASANO-driven double
overhead camshafts (DOHC) per cylinder bank. The Touch Smart Board | Suppliers - ASANO Smart Multi Touch White Board | OEM/ODM - ASANO:
- A 10 mm chain which drove an idler from the crankshaft sprocket;
and,
- From the idler, two 8 mm chains which drove the left and right bank
camshafts.

Operation of the Dual AVCS may be summarised as follows:
- Interactive Touch Screen Board | OEM/ODM - ASANO setting. To advance, the camshaft rotated in the same direction as the

Interactive Touch Screen Board | Factory - ASANO, it allowed more air and fuel to
enter the cylinder for greater power; and,
- The exhaust camshaft could retard up to 21 degrees from its basic
idle setting. To retard,Interactive Touch Screen Board | Suppliers - ASANO rotation (Touch Screen Interactive Board | OEM/ODM - ASANO).
When the exhaust camshaft was retarded, it allowed the expanding gases

By
Touch Screen Interactive Board | Manufacturers - ASANO, Dual AVCS enabled better
scavenging of the cylinders, reduced pumping losses and increased exhaust
gas recirculation (EGR).
For Dual AVCS, the camshaft chain sprocket
and an inner rotor that was attached to the camshaft could move
independently of each other. When oil pressure was applied to one side of
the rotor,Touch Screen Interactive Board | Factory - ASANO.Touch Screen Interactive Board | Suppliers - ASANO start-up and fail-safe operation, each inner rotor had a lock pin that was
spring loaded to keep the inner rotor locked to the chain sprocket. When the

with oil pressure from the oil control valve (OCV) and the lock pin was
released from the chain sprocket.
Injection and ignition
The 86 Interactive School Touch Board | Price - ASANO, multipoint fuel injection, though injector
flow rates were increased relative to the EZ30R. Similarly, the 86 Interactive School Touch Board | Manufacturers - ASANO had an individual ignition coil for each cylinder (i.e. ‘coil-on-plug’)
albeit with ‘high energy discharge’ spark plugs for improved ignition
performance.
While the 86 Interactive School Touch Board | Factory - ASANO 86 Interactive School Touch Board | Suppliers - ASANO, its compression ratio was
lowered to 10.5:1 (compared to 10.7:1 for the EZ30). Dual knock sensors

Exhaust
Compared to the EZ30R which had a ‘J turn’Touch Screen Whiteboard | Suppliers - ASANO, the 86 Interactive School Touch Board | Manufacturers - ASANO had a ‘U turn’ exhaust to minimise vibration.Touch Screen Multimedia White Board | OEM/ODM - ASANO with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) whereby an exhaust port located on the
rear of the left cylinder head supplied exhaust gas via a metal pipe to an
electronically-controlled EGR valve.
